Jenn Thomsen is an assistant professor in the parks, tourism and recreation management program at the University of Montana. Her research and teaching interests focus on large landscape conservation, sustainable tourism, protected area management, linkages between human and ecological health and environmental education and interpretation.

Her research takes place in diverse contexts throughout the United States and abroad. She serves on national board for the U.S. Biosphere Reserves and the George Wright Society. Thomsen is passionate about the outdoors, engaging with diverse audiences and traveling around the world.
