Dawa Tarchin Phillips is founder/CEO of Empowerment Holdings and the cofounder of the Mindful Leadership Online Training Conference, the world’s largest online training conference for mindful leaders. He is a mindfulness and meditation expert, author, serial entrepreneur, spiritual teacher, researcher and educator. 

He is the acting president of the International Mindfulness Teachers Association, the world’s first global independent professional organization for mindfulness teaching professionals, founder of The Mindful Leadership Tribe, an online community of mindful leaders, and cofounder of Wellness Ledger, a Blockchain-based service for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). Phillips completed two three-year meditation retreats, lived 12 years in a remote monastery and co-founded and co-lead a UC research center in brain- and neuroscience. He teaches mindfulness and meditation, awakened business and entrepreneurship and mindful leadership around the world. He is a member of the prestigious Transformational Leadership Council and the Association of Transformational Leaders, a pioneer in transformational technologies and a leading voice in the global mindfulness movement. 

Having done research with MIT, Harvard, Yale, UCSB, UCLA and the U.S. Office of Education, his work has been featured in The New York Times, Huffington Post, Men’s Fitness, Forbes and Fast Company. He loves nature, people, animals, technology, transformational travel and philanthropy and lives with his family in Santa Barbara, CA.
