Tanaya Winder is a poet, writer, artist, and educator who was raised on the Southern Ute reservation in Ignacio, CO. An enrolled member of the Duckwater Shoshone Tribe, her background includes Southern Ute, Pyramid Lake Paiute, Navajo, and Black Heritages. Héctor Ramírez is a poet, writer, student and educator. He is a first-generation Xicano from Southern California, and he has been involved in education in one way or another (as a classroom assistant, private tutor, SAT-prep instructor, creative writing instructor, etc.) since age fourteen.
