Position: Student Assistant I
Hourly pay rate: $10.50
The University of Colorado Museum of Natural History’s Education Section is looking for a responsible, self-directed student to assist facilitating guided and self-guided programs for local teachers and students. The Education Assistant will also assist with preparation of in-house programming.
Responsibilities
School Programming
- Assist with all aspects of the implementation of guided programs including: setting-up and breaking-down, greeting, assisting, and leading students and teachers on tours.
- Assist other departments and personnel in Museum as needed.
Requirements
- Available to work a flexible schedule, primarily (but not exclusively) mornings and early afternoons.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse population groups and maintain a high standard of professional conduct.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Detail-oriented and efficient.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
