Colorado Mesa University and the University of Colorado Boulder will add a third engineering program to their growing partnership, giving students the opportunity to complete another engineering degree while remaining on the Western Slope.

CMU President Tim Foster and Dean Bobby Braun announced that the Electrical and Computer Engineering program starts in fall 2018.

CU Regent Glen Gallegos said he is vested in CMU, CU and the success of this partnership.

“I am a proud alumnus of Mesa Junior College. I served as a trustee for CMU, and I am now a CU regent. I am extremely excited at how far we have moved forward,” Gallegos said. “The people who win are the students and the people of western Colorado.”

Students enrolled in the partnership engineering programs receive instruction from CMU faculty the first two years and from CU faculty the last two years, earning a degree from CU Boulder. All instruction is delivered at CMU.
