Colorado-China Connections

An environmental Market Development Cooperator Program

The CU-Business Advancement Center, the Colorado Environmental Business Alliance, and the Denver Mayor’s Office of Economic Development and International Trade have entered into a partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, in implementing a Market Development Cooperator Project designed to facilitate Colorado environmental business trade with China.

This is a two-year project to encourage and prepare Colorado environmental businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, to successfully compete for environmental business opportunities in China.  It will also create awareness and preference, in China, for the types of environmental technologies, products and services offered by Colorado companies.  The project will offer free, low-cost and cost-shared market and trade development assistance for SMEs interested in this market, including:

q      q       Identification of trade opportunities and partners;

q      q       One-on-one presentations and meetings with in-bound China delegations;

q      q       Participation in trade missions and trade shows;

q      q       Distribution of collateral material within China;

q      q       Training and information about doing business in China;

q      q       Access to mentors from companies and organizations experienced in the China market.
