I joined the Department of Computer Science in September 2018. I graduated from Loma Linda University in 2003 having earned both a B.S. and M.S. in Speech Language Pathology. Fleeing California, I returned to the Pacific Northwest until moving to Boulder in 2007. I practiced as an SLP for 15 years until moving in the research world as a clinical affairs manager for a medical device company. In 2015, I decided on continuing my education and completed Galvanizes Full Stack Web-Development program. My entry into the tech world came via the startup community at Quick Left, a small local web-consultancy. They were acquired in the spring of 2016 by Cognizant Technology Solutions, a multinational tech corporation. I worked with Cognizant managing their enablement and digital education plans for North America until coming to CU.
What makes you excited to work for the program?
Having done more than one Post-Bacc program myself and made multiple career changes, I understand the struggles to balance real life and student life. I’m excited to work with students looking to make a career pivot and venturing in new direction.
What do you like to do outside of CU?
When not enjoying the academia culture and advising students, I’m racing cars, rock climbing, mountain biking and reading while plotting my next return to student status.
