AB Nexus and the Crown Institute are announcing a co-sponsored call for proposals. The goal of the AB Nexus Research Collaboration Grant Program is to support interdisciplinary research activities that leverage expertise across campuses.
We seek to fund proposals that advance research and practice relevant to the mental health and wellness of children and youth and the adults who support them. We encourage a partnership approach to research that engages key stakeholders in project development and implementation. Key areas of interest for the Crown Institute include the study of mindfulness, compassion, belonging, dignity, and agency. Attention to social and cultural contexts is a key part of the Institute’s approach and addressing disparities that are rooted in systemic and structural oppression. Proposals may build upon these areas or may explore new areas not currently represented in the Crown Institute research programs.
Research teams are required to have representation from both CU Anschutz and CU Boulder campuses. Teams should describe the significance of combining individual research expertise, how diverse disciplines will be integrated effectively, and how the team may engage other campus experts to grow the collaboration over time.
