- The University of Colorado Boulder has canceled all in-person events through at least Aug. 16, 2020.
- On Monday, April 27, 2020, the state of Colorado transitioned from “Stay at Home” to “Safer at Home.” This allowed certain businesses that had been closed to reopen with very strict parameters, but recommended that the public stays home except for necessary trips.
- While that order was put in place for the state, Boulder County determined that conditions here made it so that we were not ready for that transition and remained under “Stay at Home” orders. On May 9, 2020, Boulder County enacted “Safer at Home” guidelines. You can learn more about that order here. Included in that order is the requirement for facial coverings anytime you are in public and can’t follow social distancing guidelines. These areas include stores, businesses, and exercising in public.
- CU Boulder has developed guidelines for in-person events so that campus event planners can be prepared if the events moratorium is lifted for the fall semester. Campus will continue to evaluate the Aug. 16 date to determine whether to further extend the moratorium.
