Virtual reality headset

CAPS offers a virtual reality therapy (VRT) program that aims to integrate VR with traditional therapy techniques for students facing common mental health issues like anxiety, depression and phobias. Initial VRT programs will include guided meditations and relaxation and a simulation that addresses and anxiety and fears. Additional programs are expected to become available soon.

Interested in VRT?

Students interested in integrating VRT into their current treatment plans should talk with their CAPS counselor. For now, the program will be limited to a single headset that will be available through the CAPS VR lab.

VRT is not for everyone. It’s important to have a conversation with your counselor to determine if this is the right treatment course for you. Students who are approved for VRT will work with their counselor to schedule sessions in the VR lab.
