Megan is a California native who is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill's School of Social Work. She has experience within the mental health field through an inpatient setting and working with college/university students at previous universities. Megan utilizes an "eclectic" approach in her therapy, that encompasses a psychodynamic framework while also prioritizing the interpersonal process between client and therapist. She also believes in working with clients to make distinct behavioral changes so that they can get unstuck from patterns that have been holding them back from flourishing. To do this, Megan enjoys using third-wave behavioral therapies and mindfulness techniques. Megan loves being a social worker because of the field’s
emphasis on social justice and cultural humility; thus is committed to creating a warm and nonjudgmental space for all her clients. As an Embedded Therapist at Leeds School of Business, Megan hopes to bring both her clinical and program development skills to encourage holistic wellness in business students.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with her dog, having good conversation with people, reading, riding uphill on her bike, running, and camping.
