Kerry Patterson is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in CAPS. She studied at the University of Colorado and received a Master’s degree in Nursing in 2006. Kerry has been a nurse since 1995. She worked with cancer patients before becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Prior to coming to CAPS, Kerry worked at Boulder County Mental Health Partners. She has experience working with clients with acute and chronic mental health disorders on an outpatient basis. Her goal was for them to feel more like themselves and to lead a satisfying life in the community. Kerry is excited to have the opportunity to work with young adults at CU. She looks forward to collaborating with the students and the team of therapists to provide optimal care that will help the students benefit from their mental health treatment.

Areas of Interest:
Kerry enjoys being outdoors: be it snowboarding, XC skiing, biking, hiking or swimming. She also has a yoga and meditation practice that she finds a good balance to an active lifestyle.
My favorite thing about working at CAPS is:
Being a part of this pivotal time in the student’s life when so many decisions have such impact. I’m hopeful that I can help them realize and work towards their full potential.
