Prior to joining CAPS, Juliana worked in a variety of counseling areas including trauma, home-based family therapy, community mental health and adolescent drug court programs. She provided mental health consultations for the national Head Start program and continues to teach as an adjunct faculty at her alma mater. Juliana is fully bilingual (Spanish) and possesses an inherent cultural sensitivity to Latino-centric issues.
Working with students on a college campus has allowed Juliana to employ her yoga (CYT), meditation (MCSR) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) training to support her clients in moving through trauma and anxiety to achieve healing. Juliana is passionate about her work, and she has been inspired by each of her clients throughout her career.
When not in the office, Juliana takes pleasure in long hikes, camping trips, meditation, travel and spending time with her family and close friends.
