Amasa Smith

Amasa joined CAPS in November 2017. Amasa completed his Master’s in Clinical Social Work at Boston College in 2015. He also received his B.A. in Applied Psychology from Bryant University in Rhode Island in 2012. Prior to joining CAPS, Amasa worked at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA providing care to a wide variety of individuals, including many Boston based college students, through inpatient and outpatient psychiatric programs.

Amasa enjoys working with college students because of the unique energy they bring to campus, and the distinctive developmental stages they encounter throughout their time here.

When not in the office, Amasa enjoys spending time outside hiking, camping, skiing and golfing. One of Amasa’s passions is his enthusiasm for Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox.
