Abeer recently moved to Colorado from Chicago, IL where she got her Master's in Social Work from University of Chicago, the School of Social Service Administration. She is completing her post-master’s social work fellowship at CAPS.

Her previous experience includes providing individual and group therapy in an outpatient behavioral health clinic for under-resourced populations. Other experience includes providing an independent living curriculum for high school youth with disabilities.

The thing you'd most like to do

I love whale watching and marine animals! Any place I have a chance to get close and watch them would be wonderful. Also, would love to go to Japan and try all the good food.

Multicultural issues, identity issues, intersectionality, existential and religious trouble, social justice and advocacy, work with international students, mindfulness, art therapy and somatic therapy.
