The University of Colorado System Office (OUC) offers the following courses in SkillSoft for new hires, new financial roles, and staff who need access to the Finance System.
Information Security & Privacy Awareness
The CU Information Security and Privacy Awareness course will explain how and why you, as an employee of CU, must protect university and private information. Learners must complete all course modules and video content and then pass the final quiz with a score of 70 to receive credit.
Fiscal Code of Ethics
In this course, you will learn about the University’s Fiscal Code of Ethics (focusing specifically on the Employee Code) and how to apply it in your daily work life.
Finance System Inquiry
This course will provide you with an overview of the PeopleSoft Finance System, and the concepts of fund accounting used by the University of Colorado. At the end of this course, you will be able to describe the accounting structure employed by the University of Colorado and navigate the PeopleSoft Finance System.
Finance System Journal Entries
In this course, you will be provided an overview of working with journal entries within the PeopleSoft Finance System. At the end of this course, you will be able to describe the functions of Journal Entries and complete an actual Journal Entry.
Gift Fund Management
Required for individuals with a fiscal role on a Gift Fund 34 SpeedType and for individuals who approve Fund 34 journal entries, Concur transactions, or CU Marketplace transactions. The purpose of this course is to assure that these individuals understand their roles and their responsibility for handling and spending gift funds in compliance with donor wishes and restrictions.
