Providing Access to University and Regional Expertise in Dispute Resolution and Environmental Policy Making
Environmental conflicts are commonly seen as a direct confrontation between social and environmental interests. This site provides access to resources which parties to environmental disputes can use to transform this adversarial relationship into one in which it is easier to simultaneously advance environmental and societal interests. The logo begins with two powerful arrows, representing environmental and societal interests in direct opposition to one another. This relationship is then transformed by changing the direction of these force arrows so show that the two interests can be pursued simultaneously.
To speed response times, we have limited the number of graphic elements used in the site design. We apologize if we look a bit stodgy compared to the more graphically intense sites.
