The American Society for Engineering Education Zone IV invites abstracts (full paper, work-in-progress or WIP, workshop, and poster) for the 2018 Zone IV Conference at the University of Colorado Boulder in Boulder, Colorado, March 25-27, 2018.

This year’s theme is In the Zone: Engineering Education in Zone IV. We want to highlight the innovations, efforts underway, and research happening in Zone IV. Please consider submitting on topics relevant to engineering education and joining us at this exceptional conference. Sessions in typical years include laboratories and projects, courses and curricula, experiential and global learning in engineering, pedagogy and assessment, and reports on student research and design. However, authors are encouraged to submit on any relevant topic in engineering education. Topics relating to online teaching, active learning and industry partnerships are of particular interest. Author's Kit

Poster, Workshop, and Work-in-Progress (WIP, submitted through Monolith):

  • Abstracts should clearly indicate whether it is for a poster, work-in-progress, or workshop 

  • Authors should submit a 250-500 word abstract in electronic form (.doc, .docx or .pdf)

  • An accepted work in progress will be assigned to a poster session

Submission of Full Papers: (Submitted through Monolith)

Submission for a full paper is a three-step review process consisting of an abstract review followed by, if favorable, a draft paper review, and then a full manuscript review, if necessary. Abstracts will each receive one blind review; papers will be blind reviewed by a minimum three reviewers. Acceptance of both the abstract and the full manuscript is required for presentation in conference sessions and for inclusion in the conference proceedings (publish to present).
