The United Government of Graduate Students

represents the graduate and professional students at the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU-Boulder). UGGS provides a voice for the graduate and professional students in university decision-making and pursuing issues such as student fees, financial aid, graduate student employment, health care, child care, and more. UGGS members work with administrators, faculty, and other student groups, and they serve on university committees.

UGGS also organizes events that give graduate and professional students the opportunity to learn about the university and diversify their academic experience by meeting people from other disciplines. These events include a new student orientation, a fall picnic, and a round table dinner. UGGS provides various services to graduate and professional students, such as teaching assistant awards and limited student group funding.

All graduate and professional students are welcome to participate in UGGS activities, and each department is encouraged strongly to send at least one representative to every meeting.
