March’s Monthly Ethics & Compliance Education Series will feature a panel presentation on the compliance implications and ethical considerations associated with procurement processes.
The panel of campus subject matter experts will include Greg Brown with the Campus Controller’s Office, Pat Dodson with the Office of Contracts & Grants, and Pam Rosse with the Office of Research Integrity.
Attendees will be presented with a case study to develop a baseline understanding of the opportunities and challenges that are a part of everyday procurement transactions. The panel will facilitate a discussion around why it is important to be both compliant and ethical in these processes as well as highlight the university-wide and CU Boulder specific resources and support available to faculty, staff and students. A review of the applicable university policies and state laws related to the campus procurement processes and a list of questions to ask when reviewing a transaction will also be included in the presentation.
Following the panel presentation, the remainder of the session will be dedicated to audience Q&A with a goal of ensuring each attendee is able to define their role in maintaining the integrity of our purchasing environment.
