February’s Monthly Ethics & Compliance Education Series will feature a presentation on the diverse, unique and intriguing world of compliance as a professional career. 

Presented by Professors Amy Bauer and Melanie Kay, Co-Directors of the Master of Studies in Law (MSL) Ethics and Compliance degree program at CU Boulder, this information packed session will educate attendees on the history of the profession and highlight the career paths existing in the growing field.  Today’s compliance professionals are integral to nearly every type of organization, whether public or private, educational or not-for-profit and are increasingly in high demand.  Melanie and Amy will expand upon the skills, knowledge and experience needed to be successful in the field. 

Attendees will have an opportunity to navigate elements of the profession such opportunities to balance creative solutions with the established rules and regulations, the interplay of in-house counsel and compliance departments, the importance of communication and marketing skills, and how to facilitate the creation an organizational culture with ethics at the core.  A review of the one-of-a-kind Master’s program in the University of Colorado School of Law will complete the program. 

Ample time for audience Q&A will exist to allow for curiosities about the world of compliance to be explored.
