The university commencement ceremony is an academic ceremony; therefore, all participants must wear traditional CU academic regalia.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students are required to purchase regalia for the ceremony from the CU Book Store, located in the UMC, during regular business hours or at 7:30 a.m. on the morning of the ceremony.

Regalia is currently available for purchase online at www.cubookstore.com for shipping or in-store pickup.   If you prefer to purchase your regalia in person, you may do so beginning March 20th in the lower level of the bookstore.  The cost to purchase the regalia set, which includes the gown, cap, and degree tassel, is $43.99 for standard sizes and $47.99 for larger sizes (plus tax). Please note, if ordering your regalia online, please be sure to order your degree tassel in addition to your cap and gown (total price is $43.99).  Regalia is non-returnable once it is purchased. Other souvenir packages are available—please visit the store or website for details. Cash, checks, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) are accepted. For more information, call 303-492-6411 or 800-255-9168 ext. 4 or go to www.cubookstore.com.  Please note that this information is subject to change.

This year’s undergraduate regalia, by Balfour, is made from 100 percent recycled plastic. The regalia can be recycled or reused once graduation is over. Balfour is the first company to bring this product to market, demonstrating their deep commitment to environmental sustainability. All the caps and gowns are assembled in the United States.
