Chris DiDonato (Mgmt) has become an employee shareholder at Holmes Murphy, one of the nation’s largest employee owned and controlled insurance brokerages.

Shareholder of financial consulting firm BSW Wealth Partners Nicole Murphey (Hist’99) and her team received awards for their work, including Best for the World B Corp ranking, Outside Magazine Best Place to Work (No. 14), Investment News Best Place to Work (No. 21) and Top 50 ESG Financial Advisory firm in the country. Nicole is the chief compliance officer and oversees BSW’s risk management and compliance program

Lara Salazar Day (Jour’99), chief culture and communications officer at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Denver office, joined the board of directors at the Denver Fire Department Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the Denver Fire Department by providing public education, leading efforts to improve firefighter safety and quality of life, and providing direct resources to meet firefighters’ needs. Lara has worked for Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, a law firm, for more than 10 years.

The Colorado State University board of governors named Amy Parsons (Law’99) as president of Colorado State University. She has 16 years of experience in higher education leadership. She previously served as CEO of a global e-commerce company based in Denver.

Disneyland on the Mountain: Walt, the Environmentalists, and the Ski Resort That Never Was, a nonfiction book written by Greg Glasgow (MEngl’99) and his wife, Kathryn Mayer, tells the story of a ski resort the Disney company tried to build in Mineral King, California, throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Coinciding with the start of the modern environmental movement, the Sierra Club environmental organization filed a lawsuit against the project that was eventually presented to the Supreme Court. The book also features the late John Harper (PhDGeog’74), one of the Sierra Club activists who worked against the Disney project.

Merrill Lynch financial advisor Daniel Sandlin (Fin’99) was named to the 2023 Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list. Dan is senior vice president of The Sandlin/Crowley Group, a full-service wealth management practice that helps individuals organize their financial lives. Dan manages more than $450 million in assets while growing each year.

Jordan Maness (Jour, Mktg’99) is the career advising specialist in CU’s Division of Continuing Education. He created a Coursera course, “Thriving 101: Designing a Fulfilling Life & Career,” which is self-paced and open to anyone. He lives in Arvada, Colorado.
