William Ramsey is a masters candidate in religious studies at the University of Colorado Boulder. His work revolves around the mediation of religion, magic, and science in popular culture, and examines the fluidity of those categories. He is especially interested in how science fiction fulfills the same role as religious thought, and how different media affect that message. When he's not in class or teaching, you might find him in downtown Boulder dressed in a Starfleet uniform playing Klezmer versions of classic sci-fi themes on his clarinet for spare change.
