Tara Nathan is pursuing a master's degree in CMCI's Media and Public Engagement (MAPE) program. Her research interests include: film-induced tourism, concepts of national branding in international tourism communities, as well as gender and sexuality representations within media coverage of outdoor adventure sports. Tara's passion for study, which intersects with the media, was cultivated during her undergraduate study at Keene State College, where she earned degrees in political science and journalism. Inspired by the power of storytelling, causes to expand social justice, and healthy media representations, Tara hopes to use the skills she gains through this program at a non-profit organization or as a teacher. When she's not studying or teaching, she can be found enjoying Colorado's whitewater rivers and its abundance of mountain biking trails.
