Micheal Phipps is a masters student in the media and public engagement (MAPE) program. He’s a lifelong storyteller with passions in creative writing, digital media, and exploring opened opportunities in marketing, which is basically high-stakes, data-based storytelling that utilizes writing and images. He’s worked on documentaries, commercials, and campaigns that promoted well-being and community awareness around social issues. This work was the impetus for enrolling in MAPE, where he intends to focus on documentary media, the interplay between media distribution channels and their constituents, and media's effects on consumers and culture. Ultimately, he wants to produce story driven media for social good.
