Media Studies

Kevan A. Feshami received a BA in English from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, an MA in American culture studies from Bowling Green State University and an MA in politics and mass media from the University of Liverpool. His research examines the intersections of race, media, and identity. Specifically, he studies how white nationalist groups have utilized media to circulate affects, particularly concerning anxieties of racial imperilment, which are central to the coherence of the larger movement's identity, particularly in a transnational setting of global media flows. This work also has a historical dimension, drawing on archival research to chart the genealogy of this affective circulation back to the nineteenth century.
