Tyler grew up in an old farmhouse in Wallingford, Connecticut, spending much of his time working in the family greenhouse and playing baseball. After receiving his BS in communication from Boston University in 2018, he moved to northern Thailand to teach English in a sleepy little town called Lampang. It was here that he discovered his passion for connecting with people from different cultures and decided to pursue a career in journalism.
After returning from Thailand, Tyler moved to Minneapolis with his partner and two cats, where he covered baseball for an online publication, and learned to love life by the lake.
Tyler hopes to use documentary media to create profiles of people that allow viewers to connect with issues on a human level. He loves to cook and explore new places, and hopes to one day return to his favorite restaurant in Thailand.
