Having fostered a love for storytelling, Por left Bangkok to pursue creative writing at Emory University. There, she discovered a passion for environmental science and ecological issues. While in Atlanta, she was a TA for an introductory environmental class and interned with a local river protection organization. After trying different types of professional writing, Por was ultimately drawn to walking a path that combined her passion for writing and a sense of purpose in environmental science.
Now, Por is pursuing an MA in journalism with a focus on the environment to hone her multimedia, reporting and informative storytelling skills. Outside of school, she is working on her various fantasy novel manuscripts and is always on the hunt for great local Thai food.
