Gabe Allen is an eclectic journalist from Montpelier, VT, the smallest state capital in America. After graduating from Skidmore College with a B.A. in Biology in 2016, he followed his heart out west. He found his first professional job as an arts and entertainment editor at the Jackson Hole News&Guide, where he won two Wyoming Press Awards. He now works as a freelance writer and reporter. His bylines include Wyofile, Bandwagon Magazine and Discover Magazine.
Gabe is pursuing a Masters in Journalism with an emphasis on multimedia storytelling and environmental justice. He is excited to expand his storytelling toolkit and experiment with unconventional forms such as solutions journalism and speculative fiction.
When he is not working or at school, you can find Gabe rock climbing, mountain biking or playing music with his Fort-Collins based garage band the Warthogs. He also likes looking at bugs.
