Estevan Sandoval is a first-year MS student in the Information Science Department at CU Boulder. Advised by Steve Voida, his research focuses on improving health systems used by diabetes patients and large medical institutions. Estevan also has a BS in information science with a minor in Spanish.
In addition to his education, Estevan was a resident advisor for two years. Once in the latter half of his undergraduate degree, Estevan shifted his employment to reflect his goal of becoming a data scientist after finishing his master's degree. He is currently doing freelance natural language processing work for a company he interned for previously.
Outside of academia, Estevan loves to watch and play tennis, spend time with his friends and try his hand at cooking a new dish.
