Dianna is a PhD student in Information Science researching natural language processing and machine learning methods to solve real-world problems. She holds a BA from the University of Texas at Austin in Linguistics, and an MS in Computational Linguistics from the University at Buffalo, and is now working with Dr. Michael Paul at CU Boulder. In the past, she worked on deep learning methods for sarcasm detection in Yelp reviews, and, most recently, on unsupervised attribute discovery for ontology development at a national research institute in Japan. In her free time she enjoys yoga, baking and swimming.
