Logan Rae Gomez
PhD Student

Logan Rae Gomez (she/her/hers) is a Ph.D. student in rhetoric and culture. At the intersections of rhetoric, race and racialization, critical/cultural studies, and gender studies, Logan's research takes seriously the erasure of state sanctioned violence and injustices against Black women and people of color. In her teaching, Logan emphasizes the importance of public engagement in understanding, critiquing, engaging, and imagining more just, ethical and sustainable worlds. As a rhetorical scholar, Logan is committed to the ways rhetorical studies can consider "other-body-centered" understandings of public culture, as she desires to contribute to and create theory about the rhetorical dimensions of embodiment, subjectivity, and resistance.
