Kellie Brownlee is a doctoral student in the community and social interaction area of the department of Communication. Her research focuses on applied ethnography, cultural discourses, and community organizations working with marginalized groups. She has a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and English creative writing from North Park University in Chicago, as well as a master’s degree from the University of Colorado Boulder.
