Advertising, Public Relations and Media Design
Danielle Quichocho is a Chamorro scholar from Guåhan. She studied creative writing and broadcast news to earn her bachelor's degree, then strategic communication to earn her master's degree, both from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Despite their abysmal performance, she continues to be a USF Bulls football fan.
Her current research interests are located at the nexus of environmental justice, indigenous advocacy, and strategic communication. Public relations in particular makes use of her earliest skill sets, combining rhetorical elements (creative writing) with purposeful storytelling (broadcast news) to achieve objectives. She is therefore interested in the various roles public relations messages play in making decisions regarding environmental policy.
She enjoys making time to try new things, especially if it involves food and/or breweries, and dabbling in artistic endeavors.
