Augustine Botwe has a BS in nutrition and food science and an MA in communication studies, both from the University of Ghana. He is a practicing journalist, and has about five years of undergraduate teaching experience in communication and journalism in various Ghanaian universities.
He is interested in strategic communication research, especially as it pertains to policy issues such as health and advocacy. He is also interested in the implications cultural beliefs and practices have for health communication and behavioral and policy change. He has presented papers at conferences including the International Communication Association’s Africa Regional Research Conference.
He has often been accused of ditching his first love, science, for the humanities, but he maintains that communication is the gateway to all disciplines.
