Mark Heisten is the Advertising Strategy, Scholar in Residence, in the Advertising, Public Relations and Media Design (APRD) department of CMCI. He has been an adjunct professor at CU Boulder since 2018 teaching multiple courses: Account Management, Brand Solutions, Brands and Culture, Intro. to Branding and Strategic Communications/Campaigns.

Previously, Mark served as Chief Revenue Officer for a fintech start-up in Silicon Valley and was VP of Channel Marketing for FIS/Worldpay. He also is the founder the strategic marketing consultancy, Versum Group LLC, and the co-founder of Leadership Legend LLC, an executive story-building platform. Mark is a strategic advisor to AidtoAll.org, Westmeath Inc. and the career preparation platform, 6x6. 

Mark has more than 25 years of experience in strategic communications and business development for some of the world's biggest global brands including Adobe, Apple, AT&T, Chicago Bulls, White Sox, Intuit, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Microsoft, Midas, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Schwab, U.S. Army and Visa among many others. His programs have recognized by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Digital Marketing Association (DMA).

Mark earned his BA in creative writing from the University of Missouri and his MBA from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University.
