Brett Robbs

Brett Robbs is an associate professor emeritus, having served at the university from 1992-2013. 

His research focuses on pedagogical practice and curriculum development, and he has authored or co-authored numerous publications including the book, Idea Industry: How to Crack the Advertising Career Code.

Before joining the university he worked in advertising as a copywriter and creative director with his last position being Vice President, Co-Creative Director at DDB, Washington D.C.  After retiring from CU, he returned to Memphis where he serves on the boards of a variety of arts organizations.

He holds a BA in English from Rhodes College and an MA and PhD in English from Vanderbilt University.
