Sarah Biagini is a media artist working in 16mm film and video. She holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and MFA from University of Colorado at Boulder. She has been Filmmaker in Residence at Alchemy Film and Moving Image Residencies in Ettrick, Scotland and Visiting Artist at Hellenic International Studies in the Arts, in Paros, Greece. Her work has been screened most recently at International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Uniondocs, and the Denver Art Museum. As an educator, Sarah is committed to building community access to moving image technologies: she spent three years as a teaching artist at Squeaky Wheel Film and Media Art Center in Buffalo, NY, instructing the "TechArts for Girls" workshop series. She is also a founding member of Process Reversal, a Colorado-based nonprofit organization dedicated to film arts preservation and education. Sarah's work is influenced by a deep appreciation for traditional psychedelic animation techniques and optical compositing.
