Due to campus closures, the Spring 2020 BFA application process will be online. Applicants, please follow the following procedures.

Adhere to application guidelines so that Anonymity will be maintained when viewing creative portfolios.  DO NOT include your BFA Application topsheet in your portfolio.

Submission Dates:  Applications for Spring 2020 (BFA 2021/2022 cohort) are due Thursday, May 14 at 12:00 PM Mountain Time.


Notification of results will be emailed no later than the first day of fall classes.


Judging Process: A panel of Cinema Studies judges will review the application materials and select a cohort of up to 26 applicants who demonstrate a strong potential for creative independent film work. 


Judges will decline incomplete applications and applications where the student’s name appears on any of the media or accompanying documents. The only place the student’s name should appear is on this online submission page. All other documents and media (including file names) must be identified only by the last four numbers of the student’s CU ID number.
