ChBE Undergraduate News—April 28, 2026

Hi ChBE students,
This is the final ChBE undergraduate newsletter of the semester.
For returning students, the next ChBE undergraduate newsletter will arrive at the start of the fall semester. Graduating students can look for ChBE alumni newsletters in their inboxes between semesters, usually in January and June.
For graduating students: With CU Boulder ending its alumni email service on Aug. 31, 2026, be sure to update your contact information with the Alumni Association to ensure you continue receiving updates from the department, college, and campus.
Wishing everyone the best of luck on finals!
Graduation
Go green this graduation
Hey ChBE Seniors,
Want an easy way to help the environment?
Borrow, don’t buy, your graduation regalia!
Stop by the front desk of CU’s Environmental Center (UMC 355) to borrow caps, gowns, and regalia for your graduation. Undergraduate, master’s, and PhD items are available. Supplies are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
This is a loan program, so all items must be returned after your graduation event.
There’s no cost—just return what you borrow.
Want to help future graduates? During graduation, the Environmental Center will have donation boxes around campus so students can donate their regalia to be reused by future graduates.

Online Graduation Programs—New!
Graduation programs will be available for use during the ceremony and as keepsakes. For those who prefer a digital option, look near the graduation tent for the large sandwich board signs with QR codes to download the program and follow along on your phone.

Intern Abroad at a Startup this Summer!
Sage Corps is an international internship program that sends college students to intern abroad with entrepreneurs at startup companies. All students first complete online curricular modules to build hard skills and soft skills in preparation for their internship. Once abroad, students join a cohort of other Sage Corps students in their chosen city to live like locals (either apartment housing or student residences) and attend cultural events with local Sage Corps staff.
Interested students can apply now for our eight-week Summer 2026 program (Lisbon, Madrid, Paris, and Sydney still have open spots). The extended application deadline runs through April, first-come, first-serve until remaining spots are full.
