William Travis

Bill Travis is Associate Professor of Geography at the University of Colorado at Boulder. His teaching and research focus is on human behavior in the environment, including studies of the human dimensions of climate change, land use, and the interaction of people and ecosystems. He was general editor (as William Riebsame) of the Atlas of the New West (W. W. Norton). His book, New Geographies of the American West, on land use change and regional development, was published in 2007 from Island Press as part of the Orton Foundation’s “Innovation in Place” series.
