
Rob Pyatt is an instructor at the University of Colorado Denver, teaching architecture, sustainable design, and design/build courses in the College of Architecture and Planning. He has extensive experience in sustainable design, construction, and community outreach projects. Robʼs community outreach and design/build work has been published in Environmental Design and Construction magazine, Architectural Record magazine, Dwell magazine, and was recently featured on the Discovery Channelʼs World’s Greenest Homes television program. Robʼs research into sustainable materials and methods of construction were applied in two recent built works, “The Crow Sustainable Housing Prototype” and “Casa Sanitas.”
Rob is the founder and program director of the Native American Sustainable Housing Initiative (NASHI), an interdisciplinary collaboration of faculty, students, and volunteers at the University of Colorado at Boulder seeking to improve housing conditions on Tribal lands through research, education, and outreach activities.
