
Richard Saxton is an artist and educator who currently lives and works in Denver, Colorado. His work is interdisciplinary, blurring the boundaries of social practice, sculpture, architecture, design, and image-based research. He was the founder of the municipalWORKSHOP and currently works with the M12 collective. Professor Saxton’s solo work has been described as contemporary vernacular, non-heroic, and an art infused with rural experience without subscribing to any one genre or culture. His collaborative works and solo projects have been exhibited internationally and published in a number of books and professional journals. Professor Saxton is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
