Academic Advising Development Specialist, Fort Hays State University

My name is Dr. Greg Atkins, and I graduated in May 2019 with a Ph.D. in US history from Washington State University. My research uses Colorado Springs to investigate how Christianity, boosterism, and urban development shaped the built environment of the American West over the last 125 years. This history seeks to reconcile environmental activists and conservative evangelicals by emphasizing overlapping beliefs like stewardship and complicating divisive ones like religious freedom and nature. I currently work at Fort Hays State University helping to develop and deploy software for academic advising
