Shirin Chowdhury
English/Creative Writing Lead
Lead Graduate Fellow 2021-22

Shirin Chowdhury is an MFA candidate in Creative Writing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She mostly writes poetry and nonfiction, and often blurs the lines between those two genres in the form of hybrid work. Shirin's interests lie primarily in the study of identity and fluidity, but she's also quite passionate about exploring mental illness, trauma, and memory through her writing. More than anything, she loves teaching, animals, and the southern restaurant chain, Waffle House.
