Kellie Brownlee
Communication Lead
Lead Graduate Fellow 2021-22

I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Communication and a part-time instructor for undergraduate classes. My research interests focus on the ethnography of communication, community groups, and the impact of not-for-profit organizations in diverse and intercultural contexts. I have taught 5 courses in my last five years at CU: Group Interaction, Public Speaking, Discourse Culture and Identity, Interpersonal Communication, and Intercultural Communication. I love creating innovative classroom activities focused on real-world scenarios and social issues. My students remember me for passionate rants about why communication matters and the importance of mental health in everyday life.
