She has extensive experience in educational assessment and program evaluation, particularly in the areas of general education and high impact practices such as undergraduate research, service-learning, and Honors education. Dr. Foster has been the assessment scholar on several grant-funded projects, including an NSF IUSE initiative to integrate active learning into introductory STEM classrooms.
Dr. Foster earned a PhD at the University of Georgia’s Institute of Higher Education and a MA from the Center for the Study of Higher Education at the University of Arizona. Her current scholarly interests include student learning and meaning making of educational experiences, faculty learning, and influences on the post-secondary curriculum.
On and off campus, she enjoys listening to people’s stories and hearing about their work. When she’s not working, she can be found exploring the outdoors on her bike, growing a garden, and generally keeping her hands busy.
