Electrical Engineering

Frank is an Electrical Engineering master's student in the Next Generation Power and Energy Systems (NGPES) program who is also pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Global Engineering from the Mortenson Center. Frank develops renewable energy systems for rural electrification and sustainable development, including solar microgrid systems providing reliable electricity to tens of thousands of people in Africa and the Caribbean. He's a former board member of Engineers Without Borders USA, current board member of EOS International, former contributing editor to Engineering For Change, and was named one of the Top 40 Under 40 energy professionals by Midwest Energy News in 2015. As he pursues his graduate certificate in Global Engineering, Frank is eager to study anti-oppressive development praxis as it relates to energy access and climate change resilience. Frank enjoys spending time with his wife and son, especially hiking, biking, and traveling.
