Students stand in the parliament chambers

"The EU Studies Summer Program in Brussels gives a unique insight into policy-making and implementation within the EU. I do not think any other program, at home or abroad, gives this kind of access to policymakers at the highest levels."

Brussels Summer Study Program

The Brussels Summer Study Program offers US students of all majors the opportunity to study a united Europe in its dynamic heart. With the EU-subsidized cost, this is one of the best values for an international experience that also earns you 6 upper-division credit hours towards your degree or electives. The courses are European Union Politics (PSCI 4302) and Colloquium on EU Institutions (PSCI 4028) with your final paper submitted to the European Commission for new policy consideration.

This program is administered by the European Commission-sponsored Colorado European Union Center of Excellence (CEUCE) at the University of Colorado Boulder and is hosted by the Universite' Libre de Bruxelles (ULB).

About the Program

The Brussels Summer Study Program is a five-week program (from July 13 to August 14, 2020) featuring lectures and seminars by leading experts on the EU from both sides of the Atlantic, as well as site visits to major EU institutions and organizations involved in European integration. In addition, the program is supplemented by cultural and social events in and around the city, as well as a field trip to Luxembourg.

Brussels' central location allows students to easily explore the area's rich history and culture at their own pace. The city is famous for its excellent dining, and the program will include special group dinners. Field trip costs are covered by program fees. Discover the European Union through the Brussels Summer Study Program! Click here to apply and find out more about possible scholarship opportunities.
